KEY BUSINESS ACHIEVEMENTS
Established independent consulting business in 2014. Engaged and collaborated with broad section of timber industry and land and environment management agencies across south-eastern Australia. Undertook a suite of projects including best practice, benchmarking, organisational development and preparation of business cases.
Improved the commercial performance of a number of business units within Forestry Corporation of NSW. Whilst managing the largest softwood log sales operation in NSW, grew softwood log sales gross revenue of $52M to $102M. Coordinated timber salvage program following major fire in 2006 – at the time the most intensive timber harvesting operation in Australia’s history.
Created high performance teams: Managed a team responsible for delivering an increase in log volume from 520K tonnes to 1.4M tonnes. Recruited and managed project resources that delivered machine log optimisation across all softwood harvesting crews in NSW within an 18 month period.
Instituted key corporate projects to deliver supply chain optimisation: Drove review of stand management strategies to optimise plantation growth and log product outturn. Established standards, training materials and audit framework for maximising value extracted at harvest across 50 harvest crews in NSW.
